If you haven’t heard about Aaron Noble yet, he’s got some incredible work that’s definitely worth viewing. His style has been described as “comics in a blender”, and once you see it, you’ll see why. Beautiful/Decay recently posted some artist profile footage featuring Aaron Noble and revealing some of the processes involved in the production of his works. I’m a huge fan of Kofie’s illustration style. It’s obvious that he has a background in graffiti when you look at his line quality and the way he adds highlights to shapes. It looks like there’s some new work coming out that demonstrates the same style using 3-dimensional objects.

CNN is urging attendees to the inauguration of President Barack Obama to take pictures of the moment that he takes the oath. The resulting images will be compiled into a 3D Photosynth image, which will recreate the moment from all angles and distances.

Ted McGrath’s work has a definite post-punk aesthetic. There are lots of collaged illustrations and xerox zines. I particularly like the editorial series for Esquire Russia, featuring actor Ralph Fiennes.

Cristiana Couciero (Seven Days) combines the masculinity of Swiss International design with playful collages and a feminine color palette to achieve a style that is quite wonderful.

Eduardo Recife, author of Misprinted Type and Brazilian collage and type guru, recently updated his site. The site has been online for over ten years and it’s name has become synonymous with the collage/grunge design style. Scene 360 is now featuring an interview with Recife. Check it out here.
