Norton & Sons, Savile Row Bespoke tailors, were recently given a facelift by Moving Brands. The result is a visual combination of century-old craftsmanship and powerful contemporary graphic application. The BBC even did a short documentary on the re-brand.

In a collaboration with Asics, Mabona Origami created the concept for their corporate history. Each moment in the shoe company’s history is symbolized by a different origami creation. It’s quite an inspiring video.

Steven Meisel’s work for the Vogue Italia pattern series is incredible. The photos have a hand-colored feel, like the pin-ups from the psychedelic 60’s. The placement of tattoos on the models blends them seamlessly into the patterned fabric backgrounds. Art+Commerce is selling a limited edition of 1000 jigsaw puzzles featuring one of the photos, which features model Meghan Collison.

Hard Graft has a line of fashionable products that cater to the Apple crowd. All of the products are made from leather and wool, but my favorite detail is the herringbone pattern elastic, used for the straps.

Buchanan-Smith is known for designing both Paper Magazine and Isaac Mizrahi’s identities. His type selection is elegant without being predictable, opting for typefaces with personality, as opposed to using Helvetica Neue Ultralight, like countless others in the high-fashion world.

The Zuriik Collection borrows some of the trendiest designs in classic street footwear on the market (the Chuck Taylor, Nike Dunk, and Vans Slip-On) and somehow makes them more appealing. The limited pallette and clean lines make the shoes a very low-profile and modern option, while still retaining enough edge to draw some oohs and ahhs from passersby.

I spotted this gem on threeare while perusing some of my favorite blogs. Models- A Collection of 132 German police uniforms and how they should be worn. There is something very interesting about authoritative design and this book seems to deliver some of that flavor.
