If you haven’t heard about Aaron Noble yet, he’s got some incredible work that’s definitely worth viewing. His style has been described as “comics in a blender”, and once you see it, you’ll see why. Beautiful/Decay recently posted some artist profile footage featuring Aaron Noble and revealing some of the processes involved in the production of his works. On March 25, 2009, a collection of BMW Art Cars will be displayed in New York’s Grand Central Terminal. The exhibition will feature customized BMW’s by Frank Stella, Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, and Robert Rauschenberg. The exhibition will also feature a short film about Robin Rhode’s Expression of Joy project.

Norton & Sons, Savile Row Bespoke tailors, were recently given a facelift by Moving Brands. The result is a visual combination of century-old craftsmanship and powerful contemporary graphic application. The BBC even did a short documentary on the re-brand.

Richard Nicholson created a photographic survey of a nearly-extinct artistic tool, the darkroom. With the use of film drawing to a close, these rooms are becoming an oddity. Each one has its own personality and energy. It’s a bit sad to know that these rooms are rapidly becoming antiquated.

CNN is urging attendees to the inauguration of President Barack Obama to take pictures of the moment that he takes the oath. The resulting images will be compiled into a 3D Photosynth image, which will recreate the moment from all angles and distances.

Charles and Ray Eames created this film, detailing each step in the process for their Herman Miller chair designs. I really like how the chairs look before they are upholstered.

Grammy-nominated French electro-duo, Justice, are releasing a tour documentary, due Nov.24. After watching the trailer, here, I am unsure that there is any point to this movie, other than to illustrate the fact that electronic music producers have pretty much replaced rock stars. Don’t watch this at work, you should probably be working. Via Design You Trust.
