Middle Tennessee State University’s seniors have launched the site for their upcoming show. The reality TV concept for the site was executed wonderfully, featuring great photography and motion graphics. I’m definitely interested in seeing what this semester’s group has to offer. Click here to visit the site and get the details.

Richard Nicholson created a photographic survey of a nearly-extinct artistic tool, the darkroom. With the use of film drawing to a close, these rooms are becoming an oddity. Each one has its own personality and energy. It’s a bit sad to know that these rooms are rapidly becoming antiquated.

In a collaboration with Asics, Mabona Origami created the concept for their corporate history. Each moment in the shoe company’s history is symbolized by a different origami creation. It’s quite an inspiring video.

The trailer for Gary Hustwit’s (filmmaker who brought us Helvetica) new film, Objectified, has finally been released. I’ve always been curious about the processes that lead to the objects in our everyday lives.

The 1stAveMachine site is the most appropriate use of full-screen Flash video that I’ve ever seen. The type is minimal and there’s great negative space and color in the videos, which can all be set to run as the background for the site. I really like the video produced for Woodhands‘ song, I Wasn’t Made For Fighting.

Charles and Ray Eames created this film, detailing each step in the process for their Herman Miller chair designs. I really like how the chairs look before they are upholstered.
