The 1stAveMachine site is the most appropriate use of full-screen Flash video that I’ve ever seen. The type is minimal and there’s great negative space and color in the videos, which can all be set to run as the background for the site. I really like the video produced for Woodhands‘ song, I Wasn’t Made For Fighting.

HillmanCurtis have an amazing body of work. Featured above is a snippet from a short film with David Byrne and Brian Eno regarding their latest album release. They also have a really nice artist series, featuring design heavy-hitters like Milton Glaser, Stefan Sagmeister, David Carson, and Paula Scher.
